As a designer at Firebolt, I designed and developed the visual identity system across all platforms, collaborating with marketing, product, and HR teams. My responsibilities included designing brand materials, developing website pages, creating marketing assets, and producing video content that translated complex technical concepts into accessible visuals, while establishing consistent design standards that effectively communicated Firebolt's value proposition.

Brand Identity

Firebolt's established visual identity features a distinctive red color palette, clean typography, and bold geometric aesthetic. Working within this existing brand framework, I continued developing the brand's visual language by creating new elements such as icon systems, sub-brand logos, and scalable design assets while maintaining consistency across various marketing materials and platforms - digital, printed, and physical.

The challenge was translating abstract data warehousing concepts into clear, accessible visual metaphors that aligned with Firebolt’s technical yet approachable brand voice. The goal was to create visuals that felt both accurate and engaging — something that speak to a heavy-tech audience while staying true to the brand’s visual identity.

Design Strategy

While implementing Firebolt's brand across different channels, I maintained the established balance between 'technical', 'active', 'bold', and 'self-centric' characteristics that position Firebolt distinctively in the data warehouse market. Key principles that guided my implementation:

• Technical precision without overwhelming complexity

• Active communication addressing complex data challenges

• Bold positioning while maintaining credibility

• Self-centric focus on Firebolt's unique capabilities

By consistently applying these principles, I ensured visual and messaging coherence across all marketing materials and communication channels. This helped Firebolt connect effectively with both technical practitioners and business decision-makers. I created consistent marketing materials across multiple platforms, focusing on clear communication of Firebolt's technical advantages to enterprise audiences.

Marketing Assets / Marketing Campaigns

Website

The website and its landing pages, over 150 static pages and over 100 landing pages, served as Firebolt’s main marketing tool. It was essentially the face of the company and the primary driver for lead generation across sales and marketing teams. Over the years, the website has continually evolved as the company’s marketing messaging and industry positioning have changed.

One of the core challenges was keeping the site aligned with the product especially during the launch of Firebolt 2.0 and the addition of AI capabilities. This required me to design new pages that clearly communicated complex features in a way that felt sharp, credible, and technically precise.

We ran A/B tests across different page segments and redesigned multiple pages based on insights from tools like Hotjar. During my time there, I led a full design refresh that gave the site a stronger, more technical tone, better suited to engineers and data professionals.
